Every character has a set of four Attributes that determines their overall capabilities and power. Beginning characters start at with rank 2 in all Attributes and an addition 7 points to spend as they wish. A level 1 character cannot raise any natural Attribute rank higher than 6. This limit increases by +1 at level 3 and by another +1 every 3 levels afterwards.
Might
Might is physical power and endurance, the brute muscle that enables one to crush their foes with ease and withstand physical harm. The Might Attribute covers:
- Carrying Capacity.
- Physical Damage. Every 2 Strength adds 1 automatic success to physical damage rolls.
- The Resistance combat skill.
- The use of maneuvers such as tripping, disarming, and wrestling.
Agility
Agility is one's swiftness and reflexive capabilities, the ability to outmaneuver opponents or maintain steady aim in the heat of battle. The Agility Attribute covers:
- Initiative. Characters act in combat depending on their Agility score, highest to lowest.
- The Ranged Attack, Melee Attack, and Dodge combat skills.
- Bonuses applied to Athletics, Crafting, Stealth, and Thievery.
Spirit
Spirit is a character's inner strength and outer aura, covering the traits of charisma and energy in both the magical and physical sense. The Spirit Attribute covers:
- The amount of Health a character restores after resting for 8 hours.
- The amount of Fatigue a character can withstand before falling unconscious.
- Energy. Every 1 Spirit grants 2 Energy. Energy is used to fuel spells and abilities.
- Bonuses applied to Influence, Conceal, Perception, and Sense.
Focus
Focus is one's mental and magical capabilities. Geniuses who master Focus are able to stretch the magnitude of their spellcraft and outwit their foes on the battlefield. The Focus Attribute covers:
- Magical Damage. Every 2 Focus adds 1 automatic success to spell damage rolls.
- The Spellpower and Willpower combat skills..
- Bonuses applied to Knowledges, Deception, and Treatment.
